Question: My pool has gone green or cloudy whilst using BLU52?
Answer :
The only factors that could have influenced
this case scenario are:
The pH or
total alkalinity has been neglected - test
and readjust.
Excess bather
load - run pool filter for 48 hrs non stop.
If no change, add additional 200g chlorine
and continue with non stop circulation until
clear.
Extreme weather (torrential rain, lightning or heat
spells)-check pH and TA add additional 200g chlorine
mid cycle.
The application
instructions were not performed correctly
i.e. the booster was distributed in the
main pool not the weir. The filter was not
left on for 24hr after initial dose of booster etc.
The automatic
cleaner was left attached during the initial
24 hr "startup". This reduces circulation.
Your pool
has not been backwashed recently, should
be done every 7 days, or the filter sand
needs replacing.
Dysfunction
of the pool cleaner and bad circulation.
Question: Will BLU52 get rid of my black Algae?

Question: Why does my pool water discolour mid-cycle?
Answer :
This could be due to extreme
weather conditions i.e. lightning, rainy days,
high bather load, extreme heat etc. It may be
necessary to add an additional maintenance dose.
Always ensure that your pH is maintained at
6.8 - 7.4. and total alkalinity should be between
80 to 120 ppm.
Question: Is it normal to have a stain near the weir of my pool from the booster?
Answer :
No. When mixing the booster
with water it can spill but will not create
a permanent stain. It is adviseable to wash
away with soap and water or sprinkle dry acid granules (ph minus) over the affected areas.
Question: I had a sudden formation of
black spots on the bottom of my pool. Is this
normal?
Answer :
No. This normally happens
when your pH level is measured above the stipulated
7.4 setting. This is likely to happen during
periods of rainfall if left unchecked,
as rain water by nature is alkaline. Remember
to always check your pH level.
The cure would be to:
1. Switch off the pump and allow water to calm
2. Adjust ph +06.8 and 7.0
3. Sprinkle dry acid granules (ph minus) over the affected areas.
4. Allow 30mins to pass and return to normal cycle.
5. Spots should fade away within a few days. For more stubborn stains brush vigorously after procedure 4.
